Sure2Door have been delivering leaflets for Prego for over four years, usually with a special offer valid for a month. Recently, Chris Fox, Prego’s owner, changed the offer and introduced a voucher with 20% off the value of the meal. With no limit on numbers, and a discount that included wine and drinks, this was a generous and appealing offer.
In January, after a leaflet campaign covering all of Buckingham’s 6010 homes, he received 180 vouchers. Based on a typical per diner value of £16.00 and an average of a table for 3, that meant bookings for 540 people generating £8,640. The overall cost for Chris was £305.00, which covered print and delivery of the leaflets, and is a pretty good return on investment.
The best benefit was a full restaurant, which most people know, inspires casual diners to join a happy throng. Chris has carried out more special offer campaigns, wit similar success rates, although he admits, ‘You can’t do it all the time. Certainly not every month’
